WHERE IT ALL STARTED.
Beban Golf has been part of Nanaimo’s parkland since 1999, when Harvey and Priscilla Hurd teamed up with the City to open the original 9-hole pitch ’n putt. The following year, another 9 holes opened, along with a walking trail that still wraps the course to this day.
In 2011, a full-length driving range opened in in place of 7 holes. With 21 mats, a short game area, and practice green, it turned the course into the 11-hole Nanaimo classic it is today.
In 2024, Beban Golf took new ownership and extended the range with 9 covered short game stalls, found on the right side of the range, for a total of 31 range stalls.
